True feedback positioning is accomplished through the direct linkage of the pneumatic positioner to the valve stem shaft, with no splitting of the positioner output. Variable orifice and cone sleeves can be specified to further enhance control performance and match the exact CV level desired. Red Valve Control Pinch Valves are available with pneumatic, electropneumatic, or digital positioners to link up to all control systems.

Red Valve PCV Series 5200 Pneumatic Red Valve Actuated Control Pinch Valve
  • The Series 5200 Pneumatic Actuated Control Pinch Valve is designed in sizes 1” to 4”. 

  • The standard Series 5200 Control Pinch Valve is designed with a stroke adjustment located inside the valve yoke.  The stroke adjustment allows customers to easily make small control changes in the field and simplifies actuator maintenance by creating a removal point in the valve stem. The stroke adjustment allows the user to fine tune the flow control as the sleeve wears, particularly in slurry applications. 

  • Variable orifice and cone sleeves can be specified to further enhance control performance and match the exact Cv level desired.  True feedback positioning is accomplished through the direct linkage of the pneumatic positioner to the valve stem shaft. 

  • ​There is no splitting of the positioner output.

  • In smaller sizes, the Series 5200 is available with a diaphragm actuator.  The quick-response and low-hysteresis of a diaphragm actuator allows the 5200 to react quickly to input signals.  This gives the 5200 Diaphragm great accuracy and repeatability on small-diameter slurry lines. 

  • In sizes over 4", the Series 5200 D is used. A slight pre-pinch of the sleeve does not affect capacity or flow, but increases response to input signal and accuracy.

  • Red Valve’s PCV Series 5200D Diaphragm Actuated Control Pinch Valve is available for customers who prefer diaphragm actuators.

  • Most significant is the valve’s ability to control in smalldiameter applications. A diaphragm actuator offers a more responsive relationship between travel and air pressure since there is less friction and hysteresis than with piston actuators. This results in more accurate response to the instrument signal and tighter control of the process fluid.

  • The Series 5200D Control Pinch Valve is designed with a heavy-duty, one-piece yoke. This permits a wide array of accessories to be mounted directly and easily to the top works.

  • Available in stroke sizes up to 3" . For example, a 6" Control Valve with a 6" x 3" Cone Sleeve trim has 3" of stroke. A direct mount or short yoke design is available to reduce overall valve height.

  • ​The simple construction of the diaphragm actuator makes it a highly cost-effective control valve.

Red Valve PCV Series 5200 D-Port Control Pinch Valve
  • Red Valve's PCV Series 5200 D-Port Control Pinch Valve is a highly economical control valve choice.

  • When fully open, the D-Port has 95% of the flow of a full-ported valve.

  • Flow control begins immediately, providing a linear flow characteristic.

  • The D-Port configuration employs a single actuator which closes from the top. This design shortens the actuator stroke, which in turn reduces operating costs. An external stroke adjustment is provided. The rugged elastomer sleeve is self-cleaning, with no packing to maintain and provides accurate, repeatable control. The Series 5200 D-Port control valve can be furnished with a standard, double wall or cone sleeve design.

Red Valve PCV Series 5200E Electric Actuated Control Pinch Valve
  • The PCV Series 5200E Electric Actuated Control Pinch Valve is a reliable, maintenance-free, cost-effective valve, designed for tough slurry and abrasive applications. 

  • The rugged, self-cleaning elastomer sleeve isolates all mechanical parts of the valve, so the breakaway torque remains constant.

  •  Declutch and override components are furnished as standard. Controls can be furnished as an integral part of the electric operator or as a separate unit for a remote station. Optional features include NEMA-7 explosion-proof construction, proportioning control from a 4- 20mA instrument signal and 4-20mA output transmitter.

Red Valve PCV Series 5300 Open Frame Control Pinch Valve
  • Red Valve's PCV Series 5300 Open Frame Control Pinch Valves feature many of the same advantages of the Series 5200 line of control pinch valves in a light-weight, low-cost, open frame design. The open frame design is possible because the sleeve is the only wetted part of the pinch valve, protecting the operating mechanism and frame from corrosive or abrasive attack from the line process.

  • A heavy-duty, rugged pinch mechanism pinches the sleeve, resulting in accurate flow control. The Series 5300 has no packing to maintain or seats to wear and is well suited for handling corrosives, powders and slurries.

  • Pneumatic, electric or hydraulic operators are available complete with pneumatic or electro-pneumatic positioners. Due to the fabricated open frame design of the Series 5300, slight variations in face-to-face length can be accommodated.

Red Valve PCV Series 5400 Centerline Closure Control Pinch Valve
  • Red Valve's PCV Series 5400 Centerline Closure Control Pinch Valves feature centerline valve closure, true feedback positioning, compact size, enclosed mechanical parts and accurate, repeatable variable venturi flow control.

  • Centerline closure is extremely important for larger size pinch valves on extremely abrasive and high velocity applications. Centerline closure outlasts all other types of gates, plug or ball valves, on control of abrasive and corrosive slurries. The resilient elastomer sleeve outlasts even Stellite-coated control valves.

  • Variable Orifice and Cone Sleeves can be specified to further enhance control performance and match the exact Cv level desired. True feedback positioning is accomplished through the direct linkage of the pneumatic positioner to the valve stem shaft. The benefits or true feedback positioning on the Series 5400 include accurate small responsive signal changes to the positioner, causing similar changes in true valve position, greatly enhancing control accuracy and repeatability.

Red Valve PCV Series 5700 Centerline Closure Control Pinch Valve
  • Red Valve’s PCV Series 5700 Centerline Closure Control Pinch Valve is a cost-effective choice when centerline valve closure is required. The Series 5700 offers a 100% full-round port opening and Class V shut off. In throttling service, the 5700 provides true feedback positioning and accurate, repeatable, variable venturi flow control.

  • There are no seats to grind, no stuffing box to repack and no packing gland to adjust. The rugged, self-cleaning elastomer sleeve isolates all mechanical parts of the mechanism, so the operating torque remains constant.

  • Full-port opening and centerline closure is extremely important for larger sized pinch valves in abrasive and high-velocity applications. Patented by Red Valve Company in 1983, the Series 5700 with centerline closure outlasts all other types of gates, plug or ball valves on control of abrasive and corrosive slurries.

  • Cone Sleeves can be specified to further enhance control performance and match the exact Cv level desired. True feedback positioning is accomplished through the direct linkage of the pneumatic positioner to the valve stem shaft.

Red Valve PVM Series 5800 Electric Actuated Control Pinch Valve
  • The PVM Series 5800 Electric Actuated Control Pinch Valve is reliable, maintenance-free and cost effective.

  • Replacing a plug valve, gate valve or ball valve is easy with the Series 5800 because it has the same face-to-face dimensions. There are no seats to grind, no stuffing box to repack and no packing gland to adjust. The rugged, self-cleaning elastomer sleeve isolates all mechanical parts of the mechanism, so the break away torque remains constant.

  • The Series 5800 sleeve closes on centerline and can be actuated with an AUMA, Rotork or other standard motor electric operators.

  • Operators can be furnished as an integral part of the electric operator or with a remote station.

  • Optional features include; heaters, thermostats, explosive-proof construction, position indicators, indication lights and proportioning control from a 4-20mA instrument signal.

  • The Series 5800 has the same face-to-face as gate, plug or ball valves, ANSI 16.10 up to 6” sizes. Optional 8”, 10”, and 12” are available with cone sleeve trims.

PCV Series 9000 High Pressure Control Pinch Valve
  • The PCV Series 9000 High Pressure Control Pinch Valve is Red Valve’s ANSI Class 300# control valve product. The heavy-duty elastomer sleeves are reinforced with high strength nylon, polyester fabrics or Kevlar material. Several heavy-duty sleeve designs are available:

    •  Standard full-port for on/off isolation applications

    • Double wall for severe abrasive applications

    • Cone, reduced-port and variable orifice designs for control applications

  • ​The elastomer sleeve will close even on solids and the flexing action of the sleeve eliminates the possibility of scaling.  Combining these features with a sealed body design and no packing to maintain results in a simple, rugged, no hang-up, maintenance-free valve.

  • The Series 9000 is equipped with a heavy-duty solid steel stroke adjustment unit located on the valve base. This allows the user to fine-tune control or adjust stroke for abrasion sleeve wear. This flexibility eliminates downtime.

  • The Series 9000 is available with various actuators. Bevel gear actuators are available for manual operation. Hydraulic or electric actuators for automatic operation are also available. Pneumatic actuators are available on smaller or low-pressure applications.

  • Series 9000 High Pressure Control Pinch Valves are also available in ANSI Class 150 drilling configurations.

PCV Series RSR Pressure Relief Control Pinch Valve
  • The Red Valve PCV Series RSR Pressure Relief Control Pinch Valve is designed specifically for slurry applications. It is a reliable relief valve available for slurry service, venting surge pressures in the system or to maintain system pressure.

  • The valve operates simply by making use of a spring-loaded cylinder, which keeps a rugged reinforced rubber pinch valve sleeve pinched closed. As process pressure builds up and exceeds the tension set by the spring, the valve opens. The greater the pressure build up, the more the valve opens. The sleeve isolates the process from the pinch mechanism, eliminating corrosion, bridging, plugging, and valve freezing.

  • The adjustment nut on top of the actuator allows for easy external recalibration. If actual system operation pressures change, the correction and fine tuning of the system can be made by simply turning the adjustment nut. An optional accessory system for handling sustained surges is also available.
